Hey it's been eight years since I started my blog. The intention of my blog was to chart my French house restoration and new life in France. Well the house is finished and the new life in France didn't quite work out how I planned. I think it was a good plan and done with the best of intentions. It was certainly optimistic and bold and I have learned a lot from the experience. Whilst it didn't work out how I expected; I am certainly better off than I was before I started. As my mother would say; sometimes things work out for the best. And it's good to finish on a high: I have a beautiful partner and baby boy and two beautiful teenage daughters. My house in the heart of the Norman country side is finished to a standard that I am very proud of. Sitting here looking at all the floors, beams, walls doors and furniture that I have made I have an immense sense of pride. I can see what I've done with the last 14 years.
It's been one hell of a ride xx
Here's to the next phase!
